Computer Classes will be resuming in October 2018. Our favorite computer volunteer, Jim Cerny will be returning with a wide array of computer classes. Seating is limited. Be sure to register for each class online at www.scgov.net/library

Oct 10 (Wednesday) 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Whether you are using a Windows computer or an iPad, using the internet has become something we just expect to be able to do at home and while traveling. Bring your internet questions to this class and we will review the internet basics such as access, using a browser, searching the internet, saving and organizing bookmarks, and more.

Nov 14 (Wednesday) 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Using email on your computer or iPad is easy to keep in touch instantly. All email apps or programs can do the same thing, even though they may look different. Bring your email questions to this class as we discuss email organization, group emails, your address book /contact list, and more.

Dec 12 (Wednesday) 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Using a spreadsheet to track anything with numbers can be easy and fun. There are also several FREE spreadsheet apps or programs you can use. Whether tracking your investments, household expenses, or any financial needs, knowing just the basics of using a spreadsheet is all that you need to get you going and keeping great financial records.

Introduction to Genealogy: participants will follow the instructor as she uses her own ancestor to demonstrate the features of Ancestry.com library edition and HeritageQuest.

Advanced Research: Use your own ancestor to search Ancestry and HeritageQuest. To begin your personal search bring the complete name, dates (birth/death), and location of where this family member lived or might have lived. Instructor will provide guidance to individual research.

The Advanced Session requires completion of the Introductory class.

Knit and Crochet
Mondays 4-7 p.m. or Wednesdays 10:30 a.m. – noon
Learn to knit or crochet! All ages and skill levels welcome! It is recommended to bring your own yarn and needles. Instructor-supplied yarns remain with the instructor weekly until piece is completed. Needles are supplied and remain with the instructor.
