READING GARDEN

”Early voting day” turned out to be a captive audience on the 27th of October during our monthly Master gardener table at the Fruitville Library. Printed materials in the mail-boxes, MG monthly table, and flyers at the reference desk on free extension classes continue to educate the public. The garden features labeled plants for the public to see, teaching about conservation with the rain barrel, using Earth Boxes, and
so much more. Our education numbers have grown this year and our feedback from the public is very positive. Our quaint cottage style house is a delight for all ages to enjoy, relax, and just read. Many families come on a weekly basis for a picnic or to do home schooling. We currently have cotton growing in the garden, pomelos, oranges, cherries, bananas, and upcoming lychees and figs. The fall planting of mums for color and annuals abound in the garden. The Fruitville garden has so much to offer, please come take a look and let the serenity fill your spirit.
