As I write this, 2012 will soon be behind us, and the beginning of a whole new year awaits. Thanks to all the Fruitville Library Friends and others, the bookstore successfully raised funds through your patronage during 2012 to help provide community programs, children’s summer programs, circulation materials, and support funds for Fruitville Library. Even though e-Book readers are challenging our existence, the bookstore continues to do well. We offer low priced fiction and nonfiction hardcovers and paperbacks. Special interest books on history, biographies, travel, health, sports, business, cooking, crafts, gardening, and children’s books and videos are available for bargain prices.
From Thursday, January 17, through Saturday, January 19, the bookstore will have a THREE FOR A DOLLAR paperback sale. Our selection is extensive and includes science fiction, mystery, romance, and best sellers.

A new discount book buying program for Fruitville Library Friends Members is offered on the FIRST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH. Fruitville Library Friends Members can receive a 50% off discount in the bookstore. Show your membership card, and receive 50% off on all purchases. If you are not a current member, and would like to receive the discount, membership sign up forms are available in the bookstore. A bookstore volunteer is available to help with sign-ups.

We sincerely appreciate your donations to the library, and the bookstore. If you are one of the many book lovers in our community, volunteering in the bookstore is a fun way to get involved and meet new friends. Ask for a volunteer sign up form at the bookstore desk, or library circulation desk.

A “suggestion box” is located on the bookstore desk. We would love to hear your suggestions and ideas on how we can better serve you.

Best wishes for a healthy and happy 2013 from the Bookstore Volunteers!
