NEW BOARD MEMBERS

The Board of Directors is please to announce the addition of three new Board Members in January 2013.

Ardith Stanself moved to Sarasota three and a half years ago from northwest Indiana, when she retired from working in finance and accounting. The last 19 years of her career were with a child advocacy organization. She’s had a library card since the second grade and has always enjoyed reading. She is a big supporter of public libraries and wants to do her part to keep them around. Ardith volunteers in the Friends bookstore and in the Library.

Joan Boyce moved to Sarasota two years ago after retiring from teaching in New Castle, Delaware. Art, reading, music, and volunteering fill most of her days. Joan is currently a volunteer in the Friends Bookstore.

Elizabeth (Beth) Cassell and her husband, Frank, moved to Sarasota 5 years ago from Greensburg, PA, where Beth was a trustee of the Greensburg-Hempfield Library and a director of the Westmoreland County Confederated Library System. They joined the Friends of the Fruitville Library before all the packing boxes were unloaded and are enthusiastic members of the Book Discussion Group led by Valerie Oakley.
