In December, we celebrated our 10th anniversary. The Friends of Fruitville Library supported the celebration by participating in the planning and contributing to the event.

The library has seen a little bit of a physical transformation as well with new carpeting, and we have begun refreshing areas in need of painting.

Thanks to the creativity, passion and commitment of both staff and volunteers, the Sarasota County Library System was selected as the 2012 Library of the Year by the Florida Library Association. This reward recognized the Sarasota County Library System’s innovative services, community building through partnerships and collaboration, and best practices in strategic planning, resulting in positive outcomes for citizens.

The Fruitville Library is very proud to be a part of the dynamic, customer–focused and community-driven library system. It is our privilege to be able to provide our community with the resources they need when they need them.

Thank you for all of the support that you continue to give the library whether it is through your membership, volunteer time, or your patronage. Fruitville Library is fortunate to be a part of a vibrant and generous community.
